Dear Friends

Thanks to all the 180 people who turned up for the live exports demonstration at the International Conference on animal transport on Sunday, 10 May (in spite of its being Mothers' Day and a Sunday evening!).

The demonstration was vocal and timely. A strong message was sent to the government which allows this barbaric trade.

2.5 million animals have died during live exports from Australia since it started 30 years ago. In the last annual count there were 35,425 that perished. And we all know these are long lingering deaths. It is Australia’s shame!
