I used to eat this pie often (prior to becoming vegetarian) and absolutely loved it. So I contacted Mrs Macs to check if it is suitable for vegetarians. And they said yes it is. It's got lots of vegies, a tomato based sauce, mashed potato across the top and a pastry lid over that. Apparently some IGA stores are supposed to sell them, but I haven't got one in my local area that does. I used to buy them already heated from Caltex service station, but want to buy lots (frozen) so Mrs Macs told me I can buy from one of their distributors near me.

So if you come across a Mrs Macs vegetable pie - try it, it's yum!

Thanks for the tip. There is so little that is labelled it is hard to tell what is OK. For instance, evidently the words "natural flavour" can mean chicken stock.
