Ask Norway's PM to Stop Whaling

Norway is known for being eco-friendly, but as long as it continues whaling, the country's 'green' image will be stained red with the blood of animals killed in the brutal and unnecessary annual hunt.

Although the International Whaling Commission declared a moratorium on commercial whaling in 1986, Norway objected and has been whaling since 1993. Norway plans to kill 1,052 minke whales in 2008.

Shockingly, Norway (along with Iceland) recently exported whale meat to Japan after a break of almost two decades -a move with dangerous implications.

TAKE ACTION

Please send an email to the Prime Minister of Norway, Jens Stoltenberg, and tell him that you strongly object to Norway’s annual whale hunt. Norway needs to know that its green reputation will be tarnished with red until the killing ends for good!
