If you don't feel like soaking and lengthy cooking or like me just don't have the time, try this quick and easy recipe.
These chick peas are excellent served as a portion with a variety of steamed vegetables or on rice.
1) Put in to a mug two well heaped desert spoons of plain flour.
Add one heaped teaspoon of Hot Madras curry powder.
Add ten twists of black pepper and one teaspoon HP or similar sauce.
2) Gradually add 300ml water and stir until blended without any lumps.
3) In a saucepan place two desert spoons oil and when heated one chopped medium onion.
4) Cook onions until transparant and add tin of drained and rinsed chick peas.
5) Stir the onions and chick peas, then still stirring add the rest of the ingredients in the mug.
6) Allow to simmer and then cook for a further three minutes whilst stirring and the chick peas will be ready to serve. _________________ Health and Happiness always. Davey
