Animals Australia is launching a Sydney Action Team, and they would like to invite you to be part of it!

This is your opportunity to get involved in local activities (such as leafleting, stalls, fundraising, etc) in support of AA campaigns; to meet other like-minded locals; and to speak up for animals - all with the support and guidance of our experienced campaigners.

To kick things off AA has a few exciting activities planned, in an action packed week (with many more activities to follow shortly):

1. Volunteer Social Dinner (Wednesday, 4 May at 7.00pm)

Join us and other caring volunteers for a delightful social dinner at one of Sydney's nicest cruelty-free restaurants, Peace Harmony (in the CBD). It will be a casual occasion with the opportunity to get to know some other passionate locals and find out more about how you can get involved in local activities. 2. Stall at Vegan Expo (Sunday, 1 May)

We are still looking for a few extra helpers to assist at the upcoming Vegan Expo, in Ultimo. With a very supportive crowd and experienced staff working with you on the stall, this is a great opportunity to get involved.

If you can help with any of the following shifts on the day, please get in touch (jesse@animalsaustralia.org) (shift times/lengths can be flexible):
* 9 - 12:30pm
* 11 - 2:30pm
* 1:30 - 5pm

3. Leafleting for Animals in Factory Farms (5-7 May)

Distributing literature to commuters is one of the simplest and most effective ways to get information in the hands of people and inform them about factory farming. In just one hour of leafleting at a busy train station, we can reach many hundreds of people with a message of kindness to animals.

If you'd like to help raise awareness about factory farming, then we hope you'll be able to join us for one of the following planned leafleting sessions outside Sydney city train stations:
* Thursday, 5 May (7.30am - 9am)
* Friday, 6 May (5 - 6pm)
* Saturday, 7 May (11am - 12pm)

We know with our busy lives how difficult it can be to find the time for extra activities. So your level of involvement in the Sydney Action Team is completely up to you. We hope that you'll be able to join us for one or more of these events.
