Sanitarium has moved beyond the food and drink business and into wholistic health care by opening its first, one-stop Sanctuary Health and Wellbeing Village in Pyrmont in Sydney. It is the first that Sanitarium has planned nationally.

The concept is to create a team of health professionals who can guide people into making healthier lifestyle choices. Sanctuary will run seminars, cooking classes, Pilates classes as well as providing both orthodox and alternative health care services.
