Learn to feed your family from the backyard!

This course will allow you to:

Gain skills & knowledge in developing & creating a vegetable garden in your backyard throughout all seasons of the year!

Plan and set goals for personal sustainability.

Participate and contribute to a community project.

Topics Include:

Garden beds & vegetable patches

Worm farms/composting

Seasonal vegetables & gardens

Alternative gardens & vegetables

Weeds & pests

Different formats of gardens, e.g. balcony

Harvesting information

Types of soil to use

Plant habits


Classes are held weekly for 18 weeks (excluding school holidays)

Course Commences: Saturday 23rd July (8-11am)
